Configuring your Computer for DHCP
Five Easy Configuration Steps
These instructions can be used for both ResNet and laptop configurations. The basic steps you must take to use the campus DHCP service are:- Obtain a Network Interface Card (NIC) and an Ethernet cable for your computer.
- Determine your hardware Ethernet (MAC) address.

- Register your hardware Ethernet (MAC) address at UC Davis.
- Configure your computer to use DHCP.
